AM
Pickpassed through the top 1/3 of the trench. Locus 4 appears to be very sterile. Worked to bring down the south side of the root to ground level. Int he north the grey soil seems to be overlain by a brown soil with little to nothing in it (perhaps the remains of locus 2).
PM
Pickpassed through the trench to the level of the soil of Locus 4. The slingstone like rocks are appearing all over the trench. Intermixed with the white chalky soil are pockets of yellow chalky soil, datker yellow in some places. We are picking along and then troweling down to the level. Took closing elevations.
