Due to rain overnight, no work done in CA 64 this morning.

Troweling done through Locus 10 , down to the bedrock. Soil remains consistent with Locus 10 , sorted and cleaned from the trench. Some yellower soil encountered, but directly over the bedrock and only in about a 10cm area of the corner—appears to be deteriorated bedrock. Very little material removed. Locus 10 finished and closed. Closing photographs and elevations taken:

NW Corner: 28.61m A.E.

NE Corner: 28.37m A.E.

SE Corner: 28.42m A.E.

SW Corner: 28.60m A.E.

Though the extent of the bedrock was not found, it was decided not to extend the trench further in order to focus on Locus 9 . It is too wet today, however, to excavate in Locus 9 .

Locus 10 :

Terra cotta: 1

Pottery: 8

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
