Pottery Summary
Due to the limited amount of excavation in T-27 this summer, very little material was collected. Pottery was present in four types: coarseware, impasto, orangeware, and buchero.
The largest percentage of these four was clearly coarseware, followed by impasto. Orangeware was present in only limited quantities and bucchero represented by only a few shards.
Certainly the most unusual ceramic find from T-27 this season was a fragment of a perforated vessel, p. 29 #1 , with a finished edge. Very few diagnostic pieces were recovered.
Most pottery was rather fragmentary and highly worn, suggesting an erosimal slide down the slope of the hill. However, it must again be emphasized that excavation in this trench this year was limited to only a few areas.
