STRATEGY: Remove 903 and 904 to define relationship of f262 with the surroundings.
SUMMARY: Lot 903 overlay a line of stones running towards the eastern section. They appear to abut f227 from the 1996 season and may form a corner turning eastwards. Lot 903 appears to be interleaved with the crumbly deposit 904. On initial removal, 904 appears to run below f262 and the hard grey tauf derived deposit A (see sketch). 904 is very soft and crumbly and contains many animal burrows. It has been decided f262 is not a syncline and terminates at the edges (see sketch).
