A.M.
The second cut into the plaster layer in P-R 62-64 (depth 0.80m) was completed (Q-R 63). The tiles, pithos fragments and rocks in P-R 64 were cleaned, sketched adn photographed. 2/3 cassetta of tile, 1/4 cassetta of plaster and 2 boxes of pottery were found. Several pithos fragments were brought down to the magazzino. A fragmentary pithos base was found in R 62.
P.M.
The third cut into the plasterlayer in P-R 62-64 (depth 0.90m) was begun. Because of the slope this cut will bring this area to the same level above the floor as P-R 65-71. R-Q 62 ws excavated with hammer and mestalina since a fragments of a ridge pole tile with the finished front edge was found in R 62 and a acroteriohn volute fragment in Q 62 (lying partly on and partly next to a large fragment of a ridgepole tile (?) and a small fragment of a pan tile. A few more random tiles and pithos fragments were found in the area. Alll were left in situ.
2/3 cassetta of tile, a few fragments of pithos and 1 1/3 box of pottery and bone were found.
