Digging was resumed. The clearing of a second course of earth revealed the other three walls of the building whose west wall had already appeared in 5D (see
). North and south walls were about 7.60 m in length, east and west, about 6.35 m. The average width across the wall was 45 cm. Construction was the same as before - one or two large stones used to make up the thickness. The NE corner appeared at 10.15 m S and 3.10 m W; the SE corner was at 1.65 m N and 3.35 m W. There was no sign of a doorway.Digging in the area D7-D8 produced a few more pieces of horse race frieze. In N1, within the foundations of the building and seemingly sunk below the level of the stones, were found most of the pieces of a large impasto pot, in place, but well broken ( 19680601
