Work continued in cut 2 in grid J 40 more of the painted yellow amphora was found, including part of the handle.  The south wall of the building was found to extend (the foundations are at a slightly lower level) to the east as far as grid J 40 and possibly further.  In grid J 39-40 a heavy tile fall was encountered below a layer of burnt plaster.  The top of the burnt plaster is level with the top of the foundation wall, indicating that it may have been the pavement for the room.

A third cut (hereafter cut #3) was taken.  It is comprised of grid J-P 41-43.
