The second cut in the yellowish-grey stratum was finished and a third begun (depth app. 0.40m). Tile, plaster and pottery continued to be found in app. the same amount. 2 casttes of tile, a few fragments of plaster and pithos and 1 1/2 box of pottery were found. A small fragment of frieze plaque cavetto was found.

The stump in R 67-68 was shoved down the line of the trench. 1 box of pottery, among which an incised lip and 3 possible cooking surface fragments, together with a small fragment of vitrified terracotta were found. 1/2 casttea of tile and 1/2 of plaster were also found in the stump. The large fragment of plaster in R 67 was removed (see p.15).
