SF-4 yielded relatively little metal. Nearly all of the metal recovered from the trench was found in Locus 12, specifically in the southwest corner of the trench. This locus consisted of a concentrated amount of carbon inclusions, among an olive brown, clay-like soil.
All but two metal fragments recovered from SF-4 are bronze. The exceptions are an iron nail and a fragment of iron slag.
The remaining metal fragments found in Loci 3, 4, 7, 16, and 17 are most likely ancient, indicating that metal working was taking place in the area.
