P.M.

The first cut into the plaster layer was almos finished. The western end of the trench (R-P 65-68) was still basically the yellowish-grey stratum which accounts for the fact that most of the pottery and the tile/plaster were found in the eastern end of the trench (R-Q 68-71). In this end were also found a number of heavily burnt tile and a piece of vitrified plaster was found in P 66-67 (both app. depth 0.50m).

A number of sea-shells/sea-snails were found throughout the trench (app. depth 0.50m) as well as a number of bone fragments.

2 boxes of mixed pottery (impasto, coarse ware and bucchero), among which a conical foot fragment (find #2); 2 casettes of tile and 1/2 casetta of plaster were found. The stump in P 70 was removed.
