AM: work in magazzino
PM: Work continued on the baulk trim of the west baulk. South baulks were weeded in order to begin 1-1.5m extension of this area.
Surface finds in weeding included tile and coarse ware, including a handle fragment. One approximately 17.5x10cm piece of pan tile was noted and thrown. Finally a base fragment of a coarse ware jar or some other vessel was recovered.
Baulk trim recovered occasional bone fragments, and also coarse ware fragments and impasto fragments with certain other pottery types interspersed. As with baulk trim on wednesday 16 June, trim in the burn layer 10-12m from the north baulk produced the largest volume of
pottery and many more diagnostic fragments, especially rims.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
