Agger 9

To simplify the trench division and to maintain more easily a distinction between the finds within the room of Agger 9 and those outside it on the east. It has been decided to shorten the width of section A by 65cm to include just the eastern NS wall & consequently Agger 9 ext is now 4m wide.

Section A

Most of the western edge of the NS wall and part of the eastern edge were defined. Found:

1 rt foot on surface - over wall much worn

2 a flatterish long pece of iron (10 & 12.5cm) against the NW edge of NS wall (1m from EW wall in Ag 5)

3 Impasto bowl without foot

4 4 boxes of tiles

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
