The 8.50m cut was taken down from 0.45-1.50m, depth increasing from south to north to just above the tile layer. The stones on the east side were found to continue only for 1.50m, those on the west continued throughout the entire cut, but were highest 3.0m from the north end of the cut, and thereafter began to slope fairly quickly down. The stones on the western side took the appearance

Stud (?), Bronze
of a capping over the entire western slope of the agger. Perhaps the northwestern corner of the agger was specially reinforced. Very few tiles and sherds. Found: (1) round bronze attachment; (2) Italo-Corinthian fragment of a plate; and (3) fragment of a terracotta hand with the thumb missing.
