STRATEGY: Finish defining extent of f265. Continue removing 903 northwards.

SUMMARY: Tauf edge discovered running east-west matching row of stones to east and (?) wall stub in the western baulk. It appears to match the course of f227 excavated during the 1996 season. Possible edge to f227 excavated as lot 917 and another tauf edge discovered to north- defines wall f266. Pit f265 was finally removed by CS. Line of stones in eastern area of trench were named f267 and may form a room divider relating to f227. f227 is a tauf wall with stone foundations whereas f266 appears to be constructed from tauf alone.
