Work began by cleaning and extending the southern baulk wall 20 cm further south, in order to obtain a clear stratigraphic section that includes the rock pack of Locus 6 and the dark grayish-blue, organic soil that was exposed in 2010. Additionally, it was decided that the eastern wall of the trench would be extended 2 m east along the southernmost 3 meters, in order to try and reveal the full extent of the rock packs of Loci 5 and 6, which appear to continue in the nearby trenches of CB 39 and CB 42. This area was cleared in preparation for opening the extension. While trimming baulk walls, a worked stone fragment (Find #1) was recovered.
