Work began by again picking the central meter a second time, in order to bring it level with the eastern meter. Pottery and terracotta are present. Picking continued farther west. Larger rocks are appearing in this section along with roots, leaves and other organics. This soil was sorted and cleared from the trench. A lighter brown soil is appearing in this area, indicating the depth in which topsoil ends. Small and large roots are still being exposed, clipped, and removed from the trench. Many medium rocks are being exposed during clearing, approximately 15 cm in length. This central area was picked again, bringing it level with the east. More lighter brown, less root heavy soil is being exposed. The western third of the trench was picked. This area is also rich with organics, small rocks, and some terracotta and pottery, the soil is also discolored white in places due to roots rotting and the associated fungus.

The reminder of the previous pick pass was cleared and sorted. Pieces of terracotta of increasing size are being found. Many roots have been removed from the trench. The high ground bordering CA73

And CA 71 was lowered and leveled using a big pick and the soil sorted as part of CA 73. This baulk removed was entirely hummus layer soil. Minimal material was found in this soil.
