Daily Log

June 24, 1969

We returned to CA1 to the newly measured section of the N extension. Topsoil had already been removed, as hadĀ  about half of the second leayer. At this point, however we dug not only through horizontal layers but also through vertical strips starting at the N wall of the main EW section fo CA1.

Seven boxes of tiles were collected in this region of verticalĀ  excavation adn a half bos of tiles from the upper area. We gatheed one box fo pottery of considerably better quality than prviously (in CA19; there was a higher proportion of fine wares, and more bucchero. Most of the good pottery occured between 1.50-2.00 m depth.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
