Daily Log Entry for Friday 3 July 2009

DAILY LOG ENTRY FOR FRIDAY 3 JULY 2009

MORNING: No work was done in the trench due to the rains from yesterday and since the soil was still wet. Yesterday evening when reading the trenchbook for SF-4 I realized that our datum point is not 28 m, as previously expected, so we fixed the absolute elevations recorded in the trenchbook.

Afternoon: Trimmed baulk walls in the northern half of the trench for the rest of the day. No closing elevations were taken since no actual digging was done.

FINDS:

Baulk Trim: 36 pcs. terracotta (ca. 1/8 bowl)

5 pcs. ceramic
