Began clearing the area around the coarseware vessel in Y/17-18, leveling meters Y-Z/17-18 to approximately 145 cm. The soil was yellowish brown, producing 10-12 fragments of pottery, 1 piece of bone, and a few fragments of shell, and 6-8 fragments of tile-one roughly 15 x 15 cm. Cleaned the north-east corner, T-6a backfill, producing 2 fragments of terracotta.
Excavated the coarseware vessel, isolating the contents. The soil inside was brown with numerous inclusion of carbon, especially in the northern portion. It was discovered that the vessel extended to deep to be removed, so work will continue in the afternoon. Two pieces of pottery were removed from the surface of Y/13-14.
