Daily Log

July 30, 1998

No work was conducted in South Flank this morning due to work along the baseline, which was extended to the east and a perpendicular shot to the south, in the area of the Southeast Building.

This afternoon, work continued lowering the area in meters E138-139/S23-24 to approximately 50-52 cm b.d.  Most of the Locus 30 soil has been removed, with the exception of some around the scattered three stones in E138-139/S24, revealing a yellowish brown, finely grained soil.  One stone in E138-139/S23 was lifted and seems to have been unassociated with any other stones or walls.

Locus 30 produced 15-18 small fragments of tile and 1/6 of a latte box of pottery and bone, some of which showed signs of burning.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
