Meters B/11-12 continued to be taken to 60 cm with pick and careful checking of the soil in wheelbarrows. A concentration of small stones, similar to the rock packing in T-26, was encountered in B/11 at 45-60 cm.
No work was done in T-26 this morning.
T-23 Summary: The 60 cm cut in meters B/11-12 was continued. Tile: 1/4. Pottery: Negligible.
Work continued with picking to 60 cm and careful inspection of the soil in the wheelbarrow. When a concentration of ivory was found, work changed to sieves. While sweeping the trench, a number of ivory fragments were found, presumably from the walls of the trench. Also while sweeping, today's find #46 was noticed embedded in the trench wall under a stump.
