Trimmed baulk in Y/17-18, producing 4 fragments of tile and 2 fragments of pottery. These were discarded in the tile dump.
A cut was taken in Y-Z/13-14 (with the exception of the eastern ~20 cm of Y-Z/14 which had been removed in a previous cut), lowering the area to 195-200 cm. The soil was greyish, dark-brown with flecks of carbon throughout, with the exception of a small area in the north of Y/14 where the soil was more greenish and galestra-like. This cut produced a high volume of material: 17 latte boxes of pottery and bone; several small, amorphous bits of bronze; and 1/2 a cassetta of tile and teracotta fragments. A number of the pottery fragments, especially the courseware, showed signs of vitrification.

Took a roughly 10 cm cut in Y-Z/13-14, lowering the area to 205 cm. The soil in this cut was more medium brown with numerous bits of carbon. This work produced 6 1/4 latte boxes of pottery and bone and 1 bit of bronze, as well as 1/5 of a cassetta of tile.
