Excavation continued in locus 8 . The eastern sector of the trench was taken down to sterile soil. The western sector will not be further excavated this season. Approximately 2 bowls (24 cm. in diameter, 7 cm. in depth) of terracotta fragments mixed with plaster were recovered. Two and 1/3 latte boxes of pottery sherds and one latte box of bone fragments were found. Four special finds were made (#1: Sherd with slip decoration; #2: Handle fragment; #3: Sherd with red slip; #4: Sherd with red slip). One piece of bulk bronze was also found. The western scarp of the trench was cleaned. Six pottery sherds and one fragment of bone were found along with approximately a half-dozen
small fragments of terracotta and plaster.

Before excavation commenced in locus 8 this morning a group of stones in the eastern sector of the trench was drawn and then removed. The eastern sector was lowered approximately 5 cm.
The trench directly to the east of T-30-G was prepared for further excavation. The surface was scraped to remove backfill and soil that had fallen into it. Approximately 1/2 bowl (24 cm. in diameter. 7 cm. in depth) of terracotta fragments and plaster was recovered. Approximately 2/3 latte box of pottery sherds and bone fragments was found. One piece of bulk bronze was found.
