The cut in meter C/8 was finished off and brought level to meters C/9-10 at a depth of 1.05 m from the southern baulk and 35 cm from the A/B terrace. A tile fragment with a possible inscribed letter was found here. 1 full latte box of pottery came from this meter including an impasto foot which preserves a complete profile.

The topsoil in meter C/7 was removed to a depth of 85 cm from the southern baulk and 15 cm from the A/B terrace. A second cut was taken to bring meter C/7 level with C/8. 1/2 a tall latte box of pottery was found as well as a few tile fragments. Carbonized bone was also found in meter C/8: 1 large piece and 3 small pieces.

Work only lasted through morning.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
