T 79 yielded a relatively low amount of pottery during the 2015 season (709 total). The majority of the pottery recovered this year came from contextualized loci, which lies directly below both redeposited soil and topsoil. In each locus, the majority of pottery was impasto. There was also a moderate amount of fine impasto, however very little coarseware and bucchero was recovered.
Locus 1 , which is a redeposited fill layer, yielded little pottery (90 sherds) and the pottery that was recovered was noticeably abraded. Of the pottery recovered, the majority was impasto (78 sherds). None of the pottery from this locus was catalogued.
Locus 2 is a soil package just below the redeposited fill and included both the linear rock feature and floor surfaces within a contextually stratigraphic locus. This locus yielded the largest amount of pottery from T 79 with a total of 524 sherds, of which the majority was impasto and fine impasto (71.18% and 25.19%, respectively). All of the bucchero recovered from T 79 was found within locus 2 (7 sherds total). A few pieces of ridged and incised pottery were found as well, along with one piece of incised impasto, which was catalogued as PC20150042 . However, none of the pottery from T 79 was chronologically diagnostic.
The baulk trim, which contains soil from locus 1 and 2 , yielded about the same amount of pottery as locus 1 (95 sherds). The majority of the pottery recovered was impasto (74.74%), along with some fine impasto (24.21%). Since this soil was mixed stratigraphically, all pottery recovered is not contextual.
