Daily Log

July 21, 2003

Excavation was continued through Locus 5.  One special find was made this morning, one fragment of bronze that looked like part of something functional.

In T32 this afternoon, the burn layer was uncoverd.  The difference in elevation of the burn layer from side to side was drastic -- the west side was almost 30 cm higher than the east side.  In T33, the slope was not so drastic, but still present, sloping eastward.  It seems that there is a gulley in between the trenches.

One special find was made, an incised ceramic fragment.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
