Daily Log
Locus 14 established today. It covers the area west of the stone feature.
Opening depths of locus 14:
NE corner: 18 cm. above datum point
NW corner: 41 cm.
SW corner: 46 cm.
SE corner: 19 cm.
Munsell for locus 14: hue 2.5 Y 5/4 light olive brown
The soil of locus 14 is lighter in color than the loci located above it and is generally harder and more grainy in texture. Photographs taken.
The excavation of locus 14 began today. Approximately 3 bowls of terracotta fragments recovered and approximately 2 1/2 latte boxes of pottery sherds found along with some bone fragments. The terracotta fragments in this locus are generally scantier, smaller and more well worn than in the previous loci. Two special finds made.
