Q-S/58 was cleaned to the level of plaster in T-U/59.  After T, plaster may end; burned earth layer exists after this point.  Large piece of architectural tiles and assorted pieces of pottery exist at this level in this area.  Plaster is found in abundance.  Many bone fragments are found as well.  Of particular interest was a fragment of an oinochoi found in Q/58.

Photographs were taken of Q-U/57-58.  This area was cleaned and tiles and pottery resting on or above burned layer were lifted.

V/59 produced an ivory piece.  This area could be washout from nearby fresh soil around V/58 area.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
