1N Continued cleaning of tilebed. Photos taken of the tilebed. Tiles lifted, ca 35 boxes dumped. A covertile which seemed complete in length but which was badly broken was found leaning against the wall 3.50 m W and photographed.
1P The wall was cleaned throughout the length of the trench. At 5.10m measuring west from the east edge of 1M two large stones (60cm across) which appeared to be natural rock appeared in the middle of the wall. Beyond them the wall broke up into scattered stones at a lower level as in 1M ( see page 17 ). The gap began at about 6.00m W and continued to 7.30m W, where the regular wall line resumed.
In the southwest corner of 1P, outside the wall and
leaning against it, was found a covertile badly cracked but lying in place. The extant length was 60 cm. The tile was photographed and lifted.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
