AM worked in magazzino. photos taken at noon
PM pick and shovel teams worked in P/Q 34-40 and T31-33.
The pass in T31-33 is a completion of a pass begun on 6/29/93 (see p. 37)
P/Q 34-40 had a darker brown and harder packed clayey soil substantially different in texture, color, and content than the previous layer. There are only occasional cobbles. In P/Q 39-40 only a handful of pottery and tile was recovered. There were more tile fragments beginning in P/Q 38. At the end of the day P/Q 34-35 remained to be completed. In T 31-33 one and one half passes were completed. T 33 is unfinished.
