Munsell Color 10YR 4/6 Dark Yellowish Brown
Description It is a dense greenish-brown clay that is hard to break up, with inclusions of carbon, small pieces of chert and crumbling flakey limestone. Pottery and tile were recovered in abundance from this layer, with impasto pottery being the most prevalent. Bone was recovered in this locus but due to the nature of the soil it is very decayed and easily breaks into pieces ~2cm or smaller in length. Locus 10 covered Locus 7 and Locus 15, and abutted Locus 5. A black slip tondo (Vdm20165015) was found in this locus.
