Description Locus 4 was the topsoil layer of the eastern extension of CB-49. The locus was 1m x 3m and consisted of a dark brown, dry soil overrun with roots. Also noteworthy was the presence of 3 substantial stumps located across the southern half of the trench. Each stump was defined using handpicks and trowels and removed with an axe. Locus 4 produced 1/2 a bowl of terracotta and 3 pieces of pottery.
