CA 64 was laid out and cleared. A dirt dump was established 15 meters southwest of the trench, near the tile dump. Opening photographs were taken. Opening elevations were taken:
NW Corner: 28.99m AE
NE Corner: 28.84m AE
SE Corner 29.10m AE
SW Corner: 29.05m AE
Center: 28.98m AE
A pick pass was begun in the western 3x1 meter area in Locus 1 , a dark brown humus layer with a lot of organic material. Soil was sorted at cleaned. Some small stones 4-8cm appearing in the western meter, but with no apparent pattern or significance. A second pick pass done in the central 3x1 meter. Soil sorted and cleaned from the trench. More small rocks of the same size appearing, soil remains consistent with Locus 1 soil. Soil sorted and cleared from the trench. Still small rocks appearing over the area of the trench. Pick pass done over the last 3x1 meter area. Soil
consistent with Locus 1 . Soil sorted and cleaned from the trench. While cleaning Medieval pottery was found.
