The morning began with handpicking in the northern most meter of the trench. It was decided that due to the tiles having been removed that the large pickaxe could safely be used. A small area slightly smaller than a square meter was picked as it was higher than the northern most and southernmost meter. The soil remains compacted and dark brown with few inclusions of white flakey galestra. Pottery, bone, and tile were found in a large amount. A fragment of a loom weight (Special Find #1) was found on the western wall. Two diagnostic bones (Special Find #2 and Special Find #3) were found in close proximity , along with a few small pieces of carbon.
