Continued work along the north foundation line of the orientalizing structure, meters E142-146, S20-22, cutting through the top 1-2cm of grass roots inorder to better clarify the stones. This produced 8-10 fragments of pottery and 12-15 fragments of terracotta.

The area in meters E142-144, S30 was further excivated removing the small stones and intermixed pottery. The soil was heavilly muttled by carbon and plaster inclustions, Locus 5. This work produced 1 very full latte of pottery, a large pithos rim, and 3 fragments of terracotta.

In the area of R13 work continued in the northwest corner, meters E130-132, S17-18, lowering the area and clearing eroded soil off the stones indicated on the master plan. This produced 1/2 of a latte of pottery and bone, 25-30 fragments of terracotta, and a fragment of a shell, mother of pearl(?) (#1).

Work was also begun clearing the foundations in the northeast corner of R13, meters E135, S18-19. This produced 14 fragments of pottery and 13 fragments of terracotta.

An attempt was made to trace the southern extension of the orientalizing foundation in R13. The top 1-2cm of grass roots and soil were removed following the projected

southern extention of this wall and also into the southeast corner of R13 in hopes of picking up traces of the southern wall of the structure. This work produced 25-30 small fragments of pottery and bone and 15-18 fragments of terracotta, and a small bit of bronze.
