Continued cut in meter H begun yesterday, into H/43 at a depth of about 100 cm.  The soil was dark, sandy brown with inclusions of carbon.  A reddish burn soil with inclusions of carbon and plaster was in evidence at the bottom of the cut.  About 1/12 cassetta of tile and 1 latte of pottery and bone were removed.  A few flakes of bronze and a fragment of iron (find #2) were found, as well as a fragment of painted pottery (find#1).

Work in H-I/46-45 continued to the west, leveling down to the edge of the stone pack in H-I/45-44 to a depth of about 100 cm.  The soil was medium brown with infrequent inclusions of carbon.  Near the bottom of the cut the reddish burn soil with inclusions of carbon and plaster appeared.  1 latte of pottery and bone, several small fragments of pithos, and 1/10 of a cassetta of tile were excavated from this area.  Finds included a piece of painted pottery (#5), the top portion of a cooking bell (#3) and a spindle whorl (#4).
