T1 AK

The trench was T1 AK was cleaned in order to define the extension of the walls. It became clear that the two walls running north are connected by a crosswall, with the same construction and width, 1.10m. For measurements, see plan p. 200 . The crosswall runs along the lenth of the trench, leaving a space to the western trench edge of 50-60cm, where very few small pieces of tiles were found, and a section of the eastern end,

gird K-L 1-2 (ca. 2x2m) where tiles seemed to appear in a heavy concentration (see p. 189, August 2). 1 box of tiles were dumped from over the wall.

Finds: 1 piece of banquet frieze C1

T1 AL The remaing pieces in the \'\'pocket\'\' in trench T1 AL, Grid G 1-2 were lifted and produced different parts of the lower part of the sima, some strigils, one piece with the ear of a waterspout.

One complete width was put together, and the remaining fragments indicate that there would be material for mabe 3-4 sima tiles, that is the front to which heads, rosettes, and waterspouts.

were attached and the flat part which has at least two raised finished edges. The width measured 56 cm. However, the strigils found, the two heads, the parts of two rosettes and three waterspouts (19680643), would hardly be enough to decorate the sima-tiles found in this pocket. The pieces coming from below the upper layer of sima and tiles were less well preserved, even crumbling, and were fitted in between stones. In the eastern end of the trench there seemed to be a continuation of the northgoing wall, and in the area east and west of it there were some tiles and a few scattered stones. From grid F1-2 and further towardsthe west there were some

tiles and scattered stones, which were cleaned. 4 boxes of tiles were dumped from the trench, except for the grid G1-2 where all the maerial was saved, in order to put together the sima fragments.

Finds: The pieces of sima mentioned above. Banquet frieze G1
