The floor of the S.E. building was cleaned.
The rock pack in V-W/57 was cleaned. Beneath these large rocks are tile fragments, dirt, and plaster. These rocks will be lifted today.
Sketch of rock pack.
S/57-58 was brought down to 85-90 cm level. This cut produced one half a latte box of pottery, some bone, and tile.
Initial cleaning of rocks in V-W/57 began. 1/4 of a latte box of assorted pottery was found in the process. Of particular interest was a large piece of terracotta,
partially burned, found in grid V/57. This could be part of a wall. As there was stone and earth beneath the piece in situ, it does not appear to be part of the S.E. Building's floor.
